Quilter’s Corner is pleased to offer professional long-arm quilting services for computer-programmed (human generated!) designs.

• Your quilt has been “squared up” (in other words, the quilt top is essentially a perfect rectangle or square:  The left and right sides are of equal length, the top and the bottom are of equal length, and the outer corners intersect at “right” angles)
• You have pressed both the quilt top and the backing so that they are essentially wrinkle-free
• All seams are pressed flat
• The quilt top lays flat – no “humps”
• The seams along the outside border edges have been secured by "back-tacking" (back-stitching) as quilting on a longarm requires that your quilt top be pulled fairly taut; if the seams along the outside border edges have not been appropriately secured, there's a possibility that they will pull apart.
• If you have one or more seams on the quilt backing:
    -  Any  selvedge on the seam has been removed
    -  The remaining seam width is approximately one-half of an inch, and
    -  The seam on the quilt backing is pressed open
• The backing and batting dimensions allow for 4-5 inches extra around the entire quilt.  In other words, your backing and batting dimensions need to be at least 8-10 inches wider and longer than your quilt top dimensions.

Quilter’s Corner stocks multiple varieties of pre-packaged Quilter’s Dream batting for purchase.  Additionally, we carry the following batting on the roll specifically for quilting on Lori L (our Gammill longarm quilting machine):

• Quilter’s Dream Blend – Natural – 70% natural cotton and 30% fine denier polyester
• Quilter’s Dream Cotton – Natural (Select loft) – 100% cotton
• Quilter’s Dream Cotton – White (Select loft) – 100% cotton
• Quilter’s Dream Poly – White (Select loft) – 100% fine denier polyester

Quilter's Corner would be honored to quilt your wartime quilts created for donation to the Quilts of Valor (QOV) Foundation.  We will donate the longarm quilting service and thread, but ask that you provide all other materials required (batting, backing, binding).  Additionally, we ask for your patience, as we will need to fit these longarm requests in with our other longarm service projects.

The mission of the QOV Foundation is to cover ALL war wounded and injured service members and veterans from the War on Terror - whether physical or psychological wounds - with Wartime quilts called Quilts of Valor.  These Quilts of Valor are tangible reminders their wartime service, sacrifice and valor are not forgotten.
