What's New at Quilter's Corner?!
Congratulations! to Polly McArthur - winner of the beautiful quilt given away in celebration of our 1-year anniversary! We had a great time celebrating at the shop on June 22 (and indulged in far too many goodies!). Thanks to all who participated! |

Save your pennies! We're thinning our inventory as we try to make room for some of the new fabrics soon to be arriving. Check out our selection of pre-cut 1-yard pieces for $5 each (4 pieces for $18)! These are cuts from our bolts - all first quality. We've even packaged up some 4-packs of coordinating fabrics to make your selection process easier! |
And, while you're there - be sure to peruse the fabrics on our "Back Porch" which are now 50% off, with a minimum of a one-yard purchase. These are beautiful fabrics in need of new homes; you may find something perfect for backing a quilt in a very economical manner! Also, we've reduced a selection of patterns by 50%, so take a look through those as well! |
Ask us about our summertime mystery quilt - International Intrigue! ? ? ? As of the 1st and the 15th of each month throughout the summer (June, July, and August), a new step for this quilt will be made available. There are only six steps, so by the end of August, you'll have solved the mystery! The first step became available on June 1, and the second on June 15. If you haven't signed up yet, there's still plenty of time! The most time-consuming part of the first step is washing and ironing the fabrics; the cutting and sewing go very quickly! The staff at Quilter's Corner would LOVE to help you choose your fabrics! So far, the fabric choices from one customer to the next have been very different, and we're really anxious to see the results! To that end, Quilter's Corner will have an "Ice Cream Social" for all Mystery Quilt participants at 2PM on September 14th; please bring your quilts - regardless of how much or how little you've completed - so we can admire your creations!

New Arrivals! In addition to some gorgeous blenders from Robert Kaufman and Moda, as well as many new Tonga batiks from Timeless Treasures, we've received selections from Nancy Halverson's new "12 Days of Christmas" line, some great novelties and a wonderful baby flannel from Timeless Treasures. This is a wonderfully soft and fine baby flannel by Timeless Treasures. Quilter's Corner carries this panel as well as several coordinating fabrics - perfect for a cuddly soft baby quilt or receiving blanket! |
 |
In case you haven't been in lately, our other recently added collections include the following: |
 |
Moda's beautiful Woodland Greetings |
 |
Clothworks: Bountiful Blessings by Laurel Burch |
We continue to add participants to our Birds in the Air Block-of-the-Month program. It's certainly not too late to sign up! Each month participants will receive six pairs of batik fabrics - a light and a dark. From each pair of fabrics you'll make two 6" blocks. Come December, you'll have 144 blocks (!!) which, in a 12 block x 12 block set, will make a fabulous 72" x 72" quilt. Our shop sample has been set into a Barn Raising setting, but the possibilities are endless; feel free to experiement with the many setting variations available! Kit Cost: $10/month |

Beginning May 1st at 8pm EST, Quilt Pink launched the official charity auction of hundreds of quilts to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure to end breast cancer. Thousands of quilters across North America have come together in support of raising money and awareness by creating unique "Pink" Quilts in the aid to eradicate breast cancer, one stitch at a time.
Quilter's Corner hosted a Quilt Pink event during the fall of 2007. We submitted three beautiful quilts for auction - quilt numbers 1000, 1010, and 1020. From May 7 through November 3, 2008, bidders are encouraged to join Quilt Pink as the quilt auction goes live. Please visit http://www.ebay.com/quiltpink to both bid and become involved in the community forums. |
